What is the Democratic National Committee?

Did you know that the Democratic National Committee was formed in 1848 and is the oldest continuous party in the United States (167 years)?

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is the formal governing body for the United States Democratic Party. The committee coordinates strategy to support Democratic Party candidates throughout the country for local, state, and national office. It organizes the Democratic National Convention held every four years to nominate and confirm a candidate for president, and to formulate the party platform.

The core beliefs of the Democratic Party are that we are stronger together, are successful as a Nation when everyone has a fair chance and that everyone plays by the same rules.   We strive to lift ALL citizens through job creation, equal pay, education, health care, clean energy, criminal justice, and compassionate immigration.
