Labor Day Parade

Theme:  Celebrating Our German Beginnings

Schaumburg’s very first settlers were from Germany. German was the first language spoken. Schaumburg, IL holds close ties with Schaumburg, Germany, through the Schaumburg Sister Cities Association. In honor of our rich heritage, we celebrate… Bring out Octoberfest in September!

Parade kicks-off promptly at 10 a.m. Line-up is on Wise Road between Roselle Road and Plum Grove Road at 8:30 a.m. Wise Road is closed between Roselle and Plum Grove Roads at 9 a.m. 9:30 a.m. for parade traffic. Summit Drive is closed at 8 a.m. The two-mile and approximately two-hour parade on Monday, September 3 moves south to north on Summit Dr. from Wise Rd. to Stock Port Ln.

Parade Starts 10:00am
Parade Route Moves South to North on Summit Drive from Wise Road to Stock Part Lane (approximately 2 miles, taking 2 hours)
Parade Closures Wise Road closed between Roselle & Plum Grove Rd at 8:30am

Join us for our annual participation in the Schaumburg Fourth of July Parade. The parade will kick off at 9:00 am.  Route this year is on Illinois Blvd.  Assembly at 7:45 at Schaumburg Township Building & Maple Park.

Parade route:
Illinois Blvd. proceed northeast from Paris Lane to Evanston St. (approximately 1 mile)
